Abstract

In this paper we examine the importance and relevance of the thermodynamic characterisation of dye equilibrium in the new fibre Lyocell carried out by the authors as a means of optimising dyeing processes and for the development and application of new technologies to obtain high added value textile products with innovative properties. All the steps in the process of preparation, dyeing and washing, and the possibilities offered by nanotechnology in finishing, were studied with a view to attaining the objectives that had been set.
