Blanqueo oxidante/reductor de la lana (parte 1)

Abstract

A combing of Australian Merino wool was directly bleached with various reducing agents (Blankit IN, thiourea dioxide, sodium hydrosulphite and sodium bisulphite, both in the presence and absence of sodium laurylsulphate). It was also bleached using sodium hyprosulphite under three different sets of conditions, which led to three different bleaching substrates. The latter were then bleached using the above reducing agents under the same conditions (combined bleaching). The resulting substrates were classified by means of optical parameters (Berger index and yellow index) and by chemical parameters (solubility in alkali, cysteic acid and cysteine).
