Abstract

Genusperspektiv på statsvetenskap är skriven av Malin Rönnblom (fil.dr och forskarassistent, Umeå centrum för genusstudier, Umeå universitet) och Maud Eduards (professor, Statsvetenskapliga institutionen, Stockholms universitet). Detta är den trettonde titeln i serien om genusperspektiv som Högskoleverket ger ut i samarbete med Nationella sekretariatet för genusforskning. Syftet med serien är att ge en orientering om genusperspektiv inom olika discipliner. Krav på genusperspektiv inom utbildning och forskning möter ofta motfrågan: vad är genusperspektiv? Det finns inte något entydigt och givet svar; forskare inom olika ämnen har olika syn på hur begreppet bäst definieras och används. Frågor som ”Vad betyder ökad kvinnorepresentation i politiken?” och ”Vilken slags säkerhet skapar säkerhetspolitiken?” handlar om makt och synen på makt. Författarna tar upp centrala begrepp i feministisk statsvetenskaplig forskning och redovisar några klassiska diskussioner. Läsaren får även lästips.
