Abstract

Abstract Institution Institutionen för hushållsvetenskap Författare Anna Kardell och Yasmine Posio Nilsson Titel Läroböcker i hem- och konsumentkunskap ur ett genusperspektiv Syfte Vårt syfte är att ur ett genusperspektiv studera hem- och konsumentkunskapsböcker. Fråge- Hur ”görs” kvinnligt och manligt i läroböckerna? ställningar På vilket sätt framställs jämställdhet i läroböckerna? Vad sägs, vad sägs inte? Hur förhåller sig läroböckerna till styrdokumenten när det gäller jämställdhet? Problem För att Sverige ska kunna bli jämställt anser regeringen att könsmaktsordningen måste brytas. I styrdokument för skolan är jämställdhet en viktig faktor och då läroböcker används i undervisningen antas de följa styrdokumenten. Problemet är att läroböcker i hem- och konsumentkunskap inte granskats ur ett genusperspektiv. Material Läroböcker i hem- och konsumentkunskap Metod Vi har gjort en kvalitativ innehållsanalys, då den kan användas för att göra komplicerade tolkningar av text. Vi ville gå på djupet i text och bild för att få fram vad som sägs och vad som inte sägs. Resultat Vi har funnit att text och bild oftast är neutral och genusfri, och ibland inkluderande. Läroböckerna har även inslag av stereotypisering och exkludering. Vår slutsats är att läroböckerna inte kan sägas bryta traditionella könsmönster och därmed inte följer styrdokumenten för skolan. Detta ställer krav på lärarprofessionen. Trots att jämställdheten ökat över tid har läroböckerna inte följt samma utveckling.
