Hör du vad jag hör? En uppsats om körintonation

Abstract

In this study I examine choral intonation. In my research I have analyzed if general knowledge in musical theory is helpful for just intonation. I have also analyzed wheatear knowledge of the fundamental tone in a chord is helpful for just intonation. In the study I present my thoughts on a choir school. I also present sound recordings of work on choral intonation. In addition I have interviewed Professor Gunno Palmqvist and Professor Gunnar Eriksson since they have long experience of choral intonation. The result of my study proves that understanding the fundamental tone, and in relation to that, the notes of a chord, helps a choir to achieve just intonation. This knowledge encourages me to continue to develop a choir school which enables a choir to have general knowledge of music theory, since this knowledge promotes just intonation.
