Abstract

The author suggests a plan for maternal health care involving a family practitioner, a family practice nurse, and a regional high risk neonatal unit.Some of the problems associated with maternal health care are briefly discussed from a family practice point of view, and suggestions for improvement in maternal health care outlined.
