Abstract

Depuis plusieurs années les interventions en milieu forestier méditerranéen ont pour objectifs la protection des espaces boisés contre les incendies, la conservation des sols contre l'érosion et l'amélioration des peuplements dans l'optique d'un accroissement de la production. C'est avec le souci de mieux répondre à ces préoccupations que la Société du Canal de Provence et d'Aménagement de la Région Provençale a réalisé entre 1990 et 1995 une expérimentation visant à mesurer l'influence de l'irrigation sur la reprise et la croissance de jeunes boisements.
