Sensibilité du pin d'Alep à l'incendie

Abstract

Les aiguilles du pin d'Alep sont très inflammables ; les caractéristiques structurelles des peuplements sont favorables à la montée en puissance et au développement du feu, donc les formations à pin d'Alep sont parmi les plus sensibles à l'éclosion et à la propagation des incendies. Par contre ses capacités de résistance à certains niveaux d'échauffement, son abondante régénération naturelle, son adaptation aux conditions édaphiques difficiles du milieu méditerranéen en font une espèce susceptible de survivre et de se reconstituer dans la plupart des cas. Propose des interventions sylvicoles pour améliorer la résistance au feu de ces peuplements.
