Las guerras de Marruecos

Authors: Ramos Oliver, Francisco;

Las guerras de Marruecos

Abstract

In the Spanish Military History, the campaigns fought by the Spanish army in Moroccan territory occupy a preeminent place, with relevant impact in the domestic politics of our homeland, and whose consequences stretch out to the present days. In this article we pretend to give a general view of all of them, starting with the only one carried out against the Kingdom of Morocco, the so called “War of Africa (1859-1860)”, then we continue with the ones fought against the tribes dissenting with the authority of the Sultan that culminate with the pacification of the region and the establishment of the Protectorate in 1927.
