Efecto de concentraciones subinhibitorias de antimicrobianos sobre las interacciones Fibronectina-Staphylococcus aureus

Abstract

La adherencia de los microorganismos a las células epiteliales se considera una etapa importante en el desarrollo de las enfermedades infecciosas. En este proceso interviene la fibronectina que forma parte de las proteinas de la matriz extracelular y que se encuentra en los fluidos del organismo. Staphylococcus aureus es un patógeno frecuentemente aislado en infecciones graves como endocarditis infección y sepsis. En este trabajo, se estudia el efecto que producen los antimicrobianos a concentraciones subinhibitorias sobre las interacciones de la fibronectina con S. aureus. Azitiomicina, nafloriaceno, tetraciclina, clindanvicina y ciprofloxacino impiden la adhesión de S. aureus a la fibronectina, ampicilina, sultamicilina y cefovaxina favorecen la adhesión, mientras que kanamicina y teicoplamina no la afectan. También se estudian los parametros que afectan dichas interacciones y el papel de la fibronectina en la adhesión de S. aureus a coagulos de fibrina
