La fibronectina como marcador diagnostico y pronostico en la sepsis

Abstract

Nuestro objetivo es demostrar que la fibronectina (fn) (proteína plasmática que se encuentra disuelta en el plasma) sirve como marcador precoz para el diagnóstico y pronóstico en los enfermos que sufren un proceso séptico. Además estudiamos su importancia como criterio de etiopatogenicidad. Las conclusiones a las que llegamos, después de realizar los oportunos tratamientos estadísticos, son que la concentración plasmática de fn se encuentra disminuida al comienzo del proceso séptico de manera estadísticamente significativa manteniendo los bajos niveles en los pacientes que fallecen y constatamos un aumento estadísticamente significativo a los dos días en aquellos pacientes que mejoran tras instaurarse las oportunas medidas terapéuticas. El comportamiento de la fn es homogéneo en todos los pacientes independientemente del tipo de microorganismo responsable del cuadro. La evolución clínica de los pacientes la evaluamos mediante un sistema de score o tanteo propio que diseñamos a partir de los ya establecido como son el apache iii y el saps ii. Proponemos el empleo de la fn en el diagnóstico y seguimiento de los pacientes sépticos
