Abstract

Este trabajo pretende mejorar el conocimiento, desde una perspectiva integral (bio-psico-social), de las características de las personas cuidadoras informales o familiares en las Zonas Básicas de Salud (Z.B.S.) de El Espinar y Villacastín, así como determinar las variables que se relacionan con la percepción de la sobrecarga del cuidador/a. A lo largo de la investigación se ha intentado mantener una visión integral de la salud, analizando tanto los componentes biológicos como los psíquicos y los sociales que la conforman. La reforma de la Atención Primaria en España (basada en la Ley General de Sanidad, 1986) plantea como una de sus características básicas la atención integral es decir, insta a tener en cuenta los componentes bio-psico-sociales que influyen en la salud de la persona. Desde los Centros de Salud (C.S) se intenta tener en cuenta esta visión integral, aunque en ocasiones la atención a los aspectos biológicos acapara muchos de los recursos asignados. Así mismo, se ha tenido muy presente la perspectiva de género a lo largo del trabajo, ya que los roles de género asignados, junto con las desigualdades en las relaciones de género y las variables sociales y económicas, exponen a hombres y mujeres a riesgos de salud diferentes.
