Procesos creativos en artistas outsider

Abstract

Esta tesis aporta una visión general sobre el arte outsider (también conocido como art brut o arte marginal) desde el punto de vista de los procesos creativos. Averiguar cómo son estos procesos creativos, supone adentrarnos en la motivación de los autores, en sus rituales, su relación con el material y con el resultado de su trabajo. El cuerpo central de la tesis, estructurado en seis módulos, presenta un gran número de obras de arte outsider analizando similitudes en forma y contenido. A partir de ellas, se crea un terreno donde nos es posible reconocer interrelaciones y dinámicas comunes. El arte outsider engloba autores con personalidades y trayectorias vitales muy distintas. Existen, a pesar de esto, interesantes puntos en común. Uno de ellos es que se entregan a procesos creativos holísticos, expansivos, que suelen imponerse en la vida del autor hasta confundirse con ella, invadir su hogar o hacerle cambiar su rol social. Sus protagonistas son personas que se han mantenido al margen del mundo del arte hasta el momento en que despiertan a la necesidad imperiosa, inevitable, de dar forma. Indagar en estos procesos creativos supone acercarse a lo que se encuentra en la base del ser humano como homo aestheticus.
