Elaboración de encuadernación flexible de pergamino sin adhesivos

Abstract

En las siguientes páginas se expone el procedimiento para la elaboración de un sistema de encuadernación en pergamino que no precisa adhesivos; el cuerpo del libro se enlaza con la cubierta por medio de los nervios de la costura y de los núcleos de las cabezadas. Las autoras realizaron este trabajo durante la “campaña de verano 2013”, convenio de colaboración entre la Biblioteca Histórica de la UCM y la Escuela Superior de Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales de Madrid, en virtud del cual, el alumnado de la especialidad de documento gráfico realizan prácticas en el departamento de conservación y restauración de la biblioteca.
