Abstract

The thermoluminescence and the thermal stability of the F and V centres induced by irradiation in KC1:Ca and KC1:Sr samples have been studied. It has been comfirmed the previously proposed model that the thermoluminescence is due to the light emission at some stage of the process of recombination of F centres with mobile interstitials thermally released from V centres. The two types of impurity induces several interstitial traps. Their activation energies and pre-exponential factors are given.
