Las construcciones con verbo soporte en latín tardío: la "Historia Augusta"

Abstract

El objetivo fundamental de esta Tesis Doctoral es estudiar la evolución diacrónica de las colocaciones verbo-nominales (CVN) funcionales, o construcciones con verbo soporte en sentido amplio, en latín tardío, un periodo apenas explorado hasta ahora. Y puesto que es la historiografía el género literario que emplea con más profusión y variedad este tipo de predicados complejos, hemos tomado como punto de partida para este estudio, a la vez diacrónico y sincrónico, cuatro obras representativas del s. IV d.C.: la Historia Augusta(HA), el Breviarium de Eutropio, el Liber de Caesaribus de Aurelio Víctor y las Resgestae de Amiano Marcelino. El análisis de estas obras, tanto desde un punto de vista cuantitativo (frecuencia global de las CVN en cada obra), como cualitativo (análisis de los seis verbos soporte más frecuentes y del radio colocacional de algunas de las bases nominales más productivas), y su comparación con un corpus paralelo y representativo de la historiografía clásica (César, Salustio, Nepote y Livio) y posclásica (Curcio, Veleyo Patérculo, Valerio Máximo, Tácito y Suetonio) nos permitirá distinguir aquellos cambios que son comunes al conjunto de la historiografía del s. IV d.C. (extensibles en muchos casos al latín tardío en general), de lo que son, en cambio, rasgos distintivos del estilo y de la lengua de cada autor...
