Valoración y cobertura de derivados financieros: opciones financieras y el método binomial

Abstract

Las opciones financieras son instrumentos financieros derivados que otorgan un derecho a su comprador. Son muy comunes en el ámbito inversor, pues se pueden utilizar con muchos fines (especulación, cobertura, inversión, etc.). En este trabajo se analizan los diferentes tipos de opciones existentes, así como los dos métodos más conocidos aplicados en su valoración: el método de Black-Scholes y el método binomial. Con el objetivo de poder valorar todo tipo de opciones, se implementa el modelo binomial en un documento en formato Excel, creando macros con funciones para su valoración. A su vez, se implementa el árbol binomial, propio del modelo binomial, en Excel, de forma que se pueda obtener la prima de cualquier opción introduciendo los parámetros necesarios. Para concluir, se realiza una breve comparación entre los resultados obtenidos por ambos métodos.
