Efectos del tratamiento con proantocianidinas sobre las alteraciones vasculares producidas por la aldosterona en ratas

Abstract

El exceso de aldosterona produce alteraciones vasculares como remodelado vascular, disfunción endotelial, inflamación y estrés oxidativo a través de diferentes mecanismos. En estudios previos de nuestro grupo de investigación se observó que las proantocianidinas ejercían efectos beneficiosos en el corazón de ratas con hiperaldosteronismo. Así mismo, el tratamiento con proantocianidinas disminuyó la expresión del mediador de las acciones de la aldosterona SGK1, sugiriendo que las proantocianidinas podrían actuar bloqueando el receptor de mineral o corticoides. SGK1 modula la acción de transportadores de sodio a la célula, como ENaC y Nedd4-2, a nivel renal y cardiaco, entre otros. Por otro lado, el transporte de sodio través de la pared vascular, juega un papel importante en situaciones patológicas, como la hipertensión y el remodelado vascular. Por esta razón, se planteó estudiar los efectos del tratamiento con proantocianidinas sobre la expresión de los mediadores implicados en la entrada de sodio en aorta de ratas con hiperaldosteronismo...
