Estudio de utilización de anticoagulantes orales directos

Abstract

En un estado hipercoagulable se produce un predominio de las actividades protrombóticas (formacaión de coágulos en los vasos sanguíneos), que pueden derivar en ictus o infarto. Para evitar estos estados patológicos, se utilizan los fármacos anticoagulantes. Durante décadas, la anticoagulación oral se ha llevado a cabo gracias a los fármacos anti vitamina K (warfarina y acenocumarol), que son fármacos de manejo muy complicado y con múltiples limitaciones. Se están desarrollando nuevos anticoagulantes que reciben el nombre de anticoagulantes orales directos (ACODS) con mecanismos de acción más específicos, más eficaces, y con un mayor margen terapéutico. Son el dabigatrán (bloquea de forma reversible el sitio activo de la trombina) y el edoxaban, apixabán y rivaroxabán (inhiben el factor Xa). Este trabajo se centra en evaluar el uso de ACODS en pacientes hospitalizados en el Hospital Universitario de La Paz, Cantoblanco y Carlos III, analizando distintas variables de estudio.
