Ad marginem: los márgenes en los libros de la alta edad media

Abstract

La importancia de los códices visigóticos es indiscutible, así lo demuestran los numerosos trabajos sobre su contenido a lo largo del tiempo. Estos manuscritos han sido estudiados en diversos campos como la paleográfica, codicológica, artística o filológica. Sin embargo, los márgenes y su contenido son una parte de los manuscritos con menor cantidad de estudios. Destacan los estudios a nivel filológico ya que en estas anotaciones encontramos las primeras evidencias de romance escritas en las famosas glosas, específicamente las emilianenses y silenses. Por lo general, las notas marginales han pasado desapercibidas dentro de los estudios paleográficos, solo en contadas ocasiones se han estudiado de forma detallada. En este trabajo se podrá ver una propuesta de clasificación de los márgenes en estos códices en base a un corpus preseleccionado.
