Abstract

El present estudi sorgeix de la necessitat de redefinir el rol de professor d’orientació educativa als estudis Primaris i Secundaris degut als grans canvis que estan havent-hi en educació, tant pel que fa a innovació com en inclusió educativa. Per tal de realitzar aquesta investigació s’ha tingut com a context d’estudi una escola concertada de Barcelona que està renovant la ideologia, les tasques i el rol dels professionals del Departament d’Orientació Psicopedagògica. D’aquest centre educatiu s’han entrevistat a professors d’orientació educativa i també s’ha passat un qüestionari a alguns dels mestres del claustre. A més a més, també s’ha comptat amb la participació d’una experta en orientació educativa, la qual també s’ha entrevistat. Els resultats obtinguts d’ambdós instruments mostren que els orientadors diversifiquen les seves tasques en atenció a l’alumnat i atenció a la comunitat educativa, que en matèria d’innovació del seu rol voldrien formar part dels equips directius, ja que són els experts en molt àmbits pedagògics. També són una peça imprescindible per als docents, els alumnes i les famílies, ja que realitzen un assessorament i un acompanyament molt necessari. Es pot dir, doncs, que l’orientador educatiu a les escoles de primària i secundària és un professional que està al costat de tots els agents educatius en temes d’orientació i assessorament, atenció a la diversitat, administracions de proves, derivacions, valoracions i acompanyament tant a alumnes com a famílies, i tot això ho fa per a donar una millora i una ajuda als processos educatius.

This study arises from the necessity to define the function of a school counselor on the Primary and Secondary studies as a consequence of the substantial changes that are happening on the current way of education, both for the educational innovation and inclusion. A public school from Barcelona was chosen to be used as the context of the investigation, seen as it is renewing its ideology and also the paper of the professionals on the Psychopedagogical Orientation Department. Not only school counselors from this educative center have been interviewed and asked to answer a poll, but a school counselor expert was also interviewed and involved with the investigation. The results obtained on both instruments show that school counselor diversify their duties in students attention as well as in educational community attention, as they would like to be part of the directive teams on the innovation matter, seen as they are experts on many pedagogical areas. Moreover, they fulfil a really necessary tracking and counseling, consequently, they are an essential piece for the teachers, students and families. Therefore, it cannot be denied that the school counselor on the Primary and Secondary schools is a professional that is sided by all the educational agents on orientation and counselling matters, attention to diversity, test administration, derivations, evaluations and also supporting students and families. Ultimately, these tasks are all done to improve and help the educational procedures.
