El proceso de reconciliación en el seno de una comunidad depende de múltiples factores, pero la administración de la memoria colectiva juega un papel determinante. Solo es posible el proceso de reconciliación si se presenta la narración de lo acaecido con la máxima objetividad posible, lo que significa la superación de prejuicios y de intereses ideológicos. Además de ello, es fundamental una correcta articulación de la justicia transicional y, finalmente, un trabajo de liberación de prejuicios históricos que pueden ser el campo de cultivo de futuros conflictos. El artículo fue objeto de la conferencia inaugural en el II Congreso Internacional Edificar la paz en el siglo XXI, que tuvo lugar en la ciudad de Bogotá en septiembre de 2014.
The process of reconciliation within a community depends on multiple factors, but the administration of the collective memory has a determining role. A process of reconciliation is only possible if the narration of what happened is presented as objectively as possible, which means overcoming prejudices and ideological interests. Moreover, aproper articulation of transitional justice is fundamental, as well as some task to release historical prejudices that may be the perfect field for future conflicts. This article was the opening lecture of the 2nd International Congress Building Peace in the 21st Century held in the city of Bogotá in September 2014.
