Dalla cartografia storica al telerilevamento: la città di Roma

Abstract

Il lavoro vuole sottolineare l'importanza del telerilevamento nello studio delle problematiche urbanistiche-ambientali con i nuovi sensori iperspettrali. Attraverso una presentazione di alcune tra le più significative tavole cartografiche prodotte sulla città di Roma, sono stati evidenziati alcuni aspetti sull'evoluzione della disciplina. Dopo una breve trattazione sulla storia del telerilevamento, sono stati illustrati i risultati di alcune attività di ricerca dedicate allo studio delle aree urbane attraverso dati telerilevati. In particolare, i dati telerilevati MIVIS, acquisiti sulla città di Roma con un primo volo nel giugno del 1995 e con un secondo volo su un'ampia porzione della città nel giugno del 2004, hanno permesso di realizzare mappe con discriminate le aree permeabili e le aree impermeabili, nonché permettere una serie di considerazioni su come l'eccessiva impermeabilizzazione delle zone antropizzate comporti conseguenze negative sia per lo smaltimento delle acque piovane, sia per il microclima di ogni zona, sia ancora per la ricarica delle falde acquifere sotterranee.
