Impiego di un nuovo feldspato sodico-potassico piemontese per gres porcellanato

Abstract

Un nuovo feldspato sodico-potassico nazionale è stato progettato e sperimentato in impasti da gres porcellanato smaltato in sostituzione di un fondente sodico. Si tratta di un prodotto di facile reperibilità, con caratteristiche fisico-chimiche e tecnologiche idonee: la macinabilità è del tutto confrontabile a quella di impasti convenzionali, mentre la presenza di una maggior quota di feldspato potassico consente di avere una maggiore stabilità dimensionale dei cotti, grazie a una fase liquida più viscosa. L'introduzione del feldspato potassico non varia né la densità apparente, né il grado di 'fusibilità' rispetto a formulazioni più sodiche. La variazione del coefficiente di dilatazione termica è modesta e dipende dal diverso contenuto iniziale di quarzo degli impasti.
