Breeding values were calculated by BLUP and tabulated for 27 bulls in respect of av. daily gain, milk yield and fat and protein percentages. Data were also analysed on daily gain based (1) on test weight gain/test duration in days and (2) the partial regression of weight on age, using data on 190 bulls from 27 sires. The hs of the 2 gain measures were 0.017 and 0.095 resp. The genetic, environmental and phenotypic correlations between the 2 traits were 0.25, 0.19 and 0.19.
