Geomorfologia fluviale in Valle di San Lucano: il Progetto Tegnas

Abstract

Il "Progetto Tegnas" si propone di sperimentare e verificare l'applicabilità della metodologia indicata come "Watershed Assessment of River Stability and Sediment Supply" (WARSSS - Rosgen, 2006) nel contesto morfologico alpino, iniziando con lo studio di un'area prototipo nella Valle di San Lucano (Comune di Taibon Agordino, Dolomiti Bellunesi). Nato dalla collaborazione tra l'Istituto per la Dinamica dei Processi Ambientali (CNR-IDPA-Milano), l'Istituto Tecnico Industriale Minerario "U.Follador" di Agordo, e la Comunità Montana Agordina, il progetto è giunto al suo secondo anno e coinvolge ormai tutti gli enti locali vocati alla gestione territoriale. La realizzazione di un laboratorio stabile a cielo aperto permette di svolgere nel contempo attività di ricerca e di monitoraggio del sistema fluviale; inoltre, dato che l'ITIM svolge un ruolo di primo piano nella pianificazione ed esecuzione delle campagne di acquisizione dati sul terreno, fornisce il supporto didattico ai programmi istituzionali dell'Istituto al fine di indirizzarli verso tematiche territoriali e ambientali, tra l'altro il "Progetto Tegnas" ha vinto il primo premio del "Concorso 100 scuole" indetto dal Provveditorato agli Studi nel 2010. La prospettiva a lungo termine è duplice: quella di ampliare l'indagine ai bacini adiacenti ed elaborare modelli interpretativi dell'evoluzione idro-geomorfologica della "Regione Dolomitica", basati su osservazioni a lungo periodo.
