Lixiviación de minerales oxidados de cobre/hierro para la extracción de oro y plata yacimiento Pucará, Puno

Abstract

La mina de Pucará - Puno nos ofrece valores metálicos principalmente en cobre, oro y plata, tanto en zonas de minerales sulfurados y minerales oxidados. Para el presente estudio hidrometalúrgico se ha elegido la zona de minerales oxidados. El tratamiento de minerales de óxidos de co.bre y hierro, asociados con oro y plata, se procesó por el método de lixiviación estática usando columnas cilíndricas de material PVC, diseñado con una capacidad de 3 kg, el mineral fue preparado a granulometría de malla -1/4" y -3/8"pulgadas. El proceso de lixiviación fue llevado a cabo en dos etapas; primero se lixivió el mineral con solución de ácido sulfúrico para extraer cobre y hierro, llegando a recuperar el cobre al 85,21%, en este proceso se utilizó el diseño experimental (factorial 2n). En la segunda etapa es tratado el mismo mineral libre de cobre y hierro, con sales oxidantes de nitrato de amonio y cloruro de sodio en presencia de ácido sulfúrico a pH < 1 para recuperar oro y plata; la reacción química de sales oxidantes con ácido sulfúrico se produce agua regia y cloro naciente, el 1 cual disuelve al oro y plata, los resultados de recuperación alcanzan al 98 % en oro y 48 % en plata. En cuanto al diseño se utilizó el diseño experimental Plackett- Burman, que es un método estadístico que ha permitido realizar el menor número de pruebas experimentales.
