Abstract

Malgré le temps écoulé depuis la fin de la dictature chilienne, histoire et mémoire restent des réalités complexes renvoyant à des concepts problématiques au sein d’un pays qui a subi le trauma dictatorial et son refoulement : frontière entre les deux ? Pays qui se bat encore entre le devoir de mémoire et la volonté d’oubli : frontière séparatrice ? À partir de photos, de films, d’œuvres littéraires et d’œuvres d’art produites depuis 1973, nous nous poserons la question du passage de l’absence des images à la position d’un regard. Ainsi, le regard créateur qui fait face à l’histoire devient la condition de possibilité d’une prise de position critique, réflexive et constructrice chez le spectateur. Les enjeux – mémoire, politique, art – concernent certes le Chili, mais, bien sûr, tout pays.
