Sociologie visuelle et vidéographie : approche et méthode

Abstract

Ces journées d'étude s'inscrivent dans le cadre du programme de formation-recherche du CIERA (PFR 2014-2016) « Sociologie visuelle et vidéographie ». Ces manifestations visent à faire découvrir en France une approche allemande de sociologie visuelle et sa méthodologie correspondante, la vidéographie. Cette perspective interroge la thèse de la construction communicationnelle de la réalité qui se focalise sur la prédominance de l'usage des médias, notamment visuels et audiovisuels, en situation d’interaction sociale. Ce questionnement alimente la problématique de la distribution sociale du savoir avec des images. La réflexion théorique soutient une méthodologie de recherche qui s'inscrit à la fois dans le renouvellement des approches interprétatives en sociologie allemande et se combine avec les enseignements de l’ethnométhodologie et de l’analyse conversationnelle. La méthode vidéographique a été développée pour répondre à cette exigence.
