Abstract

Réfléchir aux genres cinématographiques, c’est bien souvent en proposer la typologie ou les envisager dans une perspective sociologique qui englobe leurs tracés dans le domaine des mass media. Or, ils restent, avant tout, des catégories esthétiques, et c’est en les considérant ainsi qu’on peut comprendre ce qu’ils ont à nous apprendre du cinéma. Dans ce contexte, penser la bâtardise des genres consiste à entrevoir le surgissement de l’autre au sein du même, autant comme une greffe que comme une altération nécessaire, ce qui permet de reconsidérer, dans un autre domaine que celui où il est né originellement, le motif de la survivance (Nacheleben), si important pour Aby Warburg, et, de manière globale, pour la réflexion sur l’art. La journée d’études se propose de réfléchir sur des corpus ou des œuvres isolées, englobant des films comme des séries télévisées, afin d’estimer leur bâtardise et ce qu’elle entraîne comme définitions possibles de l’art qu’ils expriment.
