Abstract

Cette seconde journée d’étude consacrée aux collaborations entre artistes et architectes a pour objectif d’interroger la dimension « publique » et volontairement « collective » de certains projets fédérant artistes et architectes, sur une période relativement restreinte (1930-1965). Cette journée entend ainsi contribuer à prendre la mesure de la singularité de ces expériences qui réunissent des créateurs dont les pratiques plastiques peuvent être très hétérogènes autour de projets dont les dimensions et les fonctions sociales sont essentielles. Ainsi nous nous interrogerons sur ce qui réunit et ce qui sépare les artistes et les architectes au sein du travail collectif, autrement dit sur la rencontre possible entre un art aspirant à transcender l’architecture et une architecture qui s’emploie souvent à le contenir.
