Abstract

Trente ans après la mise en service de la première ligne française dédiée à la grande vitesse, vingt ans après les premières études historiques des origines de cette évolution en France et dans le monde, l’AHICF pose la question de la place et de la fonction de la vitesse dans l’univers ferroviaire : objectif et valeur durables ? Élément de rupture ou de continuité dans l’histoire des techniques, de l’innovation et des services ? Acteur de l’aménagement des territoires et de leur concurrence aux échelles régionales, nationales, européennes et mondiales ? Ce colloque pourra apporter la contribution de l’histoire et de la géographie : une invitation à mettre en perspective la grande vitesse dans l’histoire de la vitesse sur rail et celle-ci dans l’histoire des attentes, des services et de la mobilité.
