Mutation des sciences humaines et sociales

Abstract

Ce séminaire vise à étudier différentes aspects de transformation majeure que vivent actuellement les sciences humaines et sociales. En matière de production scientifique comme dans le domaine des relations avec leurs publics, les disciplines SHS (et en particulier la sociologie) abordent aujourd’hui, après un processus de professionnalisation, un tournant majeur de leur histoire que l’on peut qualifier de processus de « tertiarisation ». La production de la connaissance, sa transmission, ses usages (dissémination) seraient ainsi plus contraints par une logique de prestation de services, que leur organisation ne répondrait à la production de professionnels, la formation à un ou des métiers, la production d’expertises ancrées dans la tradition et la production de connaissances scientifiques. L’équilibre entre les trois pôles des disciplines scientifiques – science, académie et applications – est aujourd’hui en recomposition. Les tensions et les rééquilibrages se jouent autour de cette dynamique de tertiarisation.
