Abstract

Quelle est la place des femmes dans les métiers de l'image ? Telle est la question liminaire qui préside à cet atelier « Jeune recherche », qui rassemble des spécialistes des médias et de l’analyse d’images. Métiers historiquement accaparés par des hommes, ces derniers les dominent tant institutionnellement que symboliquement. Les femmes restent souvent cantonnées aux arts ou aux genres dits « mineurs », quand elles ne sont pas isolées dans les fonctions subalternes au sein des milieux les plus créatifs ; elles sont pourtant productrices d’images – et d'imaginaires. Qui sont ces femmes, qui ne s’offrent pas à la représentation mais se cachent – ou se révèlent – derrière leur objectif, leur caméra ou leur crayon ? Quels sont leurs parcours, leurs « carrières » ?
