Agriculture, science et environnement : retours sur la modernisation agricole

Abstract

Nous assistons depuis une vingtaine d’années, au niveau national et surtout international, à un profond renouvellement des travaux historiques et sociologiques sur la « modernisation » de l’agriculture. Placé à la croisée de l’histoire et la sociologie rurale, de l’histoire environnementale et de l’histoire et la sociologie des sciences et de l’innovation, le séminaire permettra d’échanger autour des nouvelles perspectives de recherche sur les transformations de l’agriculture, des savoirs et des pratiques agronomiques au XXème siècle et leurs empreintes sociales, culturelles et environnementales. L’enjeu du séminaire sera d’esquisser les bases d’une histoire environnementale de l’agriculture et des savoirs agronomiques en France, mais aussi de croiser les regards d’historiens, de sociologues et anthropologues et de chercheurs des sciences agronomiques.
