Patrimoines des migrations, migrations des patrimoines

Abstract

Objets ou lieux dans lesquels s’enracinent des identités, des mémoires et des émotions, le patrimoine s’inscrit tout autant qu’il se meut dans l’espace et dans le temps. C’est précisément le paradigme de la mobilité que nous souhaitons explorer au cours de ce colloque, à la lumière de différentes expériences migratoires. Plus exactement, il s’agit d’interroger la manière dont des populations récemment installées ou issues d’anciennes migrations cherchent à fixer, rendre visible, matérialiser ou conforter une identité et un sentiment d’appartenance par le biais de la conservation, de la mise en circulation, voire de la quête de référents ou d’objets culturels. Loin de limiter les modalités d’appropriation et de subjectivation patrimoniale aux seuls individus en déplacement, le colloque vise aussi à questionner, en miroir du processus d’immigration, le poids des sociétés d’accueil dans la valorisation, l’exposition ou le confinement de biens tenus pour représentatifs ou spécifiques des communautés migrantes.
