Abstract

Le développement formidable des moyens de communication, la circulation rapide et instantanée de l’information, l’avènement d’Internet et des réseaux sociaux conjugués à la mobilité des individus, l’attrait de l’ailleurs dans ses dimensions professionnelles et touristiques, font qu’aujourd’hui le monde est devenu ce que Louis Porcher appelle « un village global ». Face à cette diversité du monde où les frontières s’estompent, les cultures s’interpénètrent, se nourrissent l’une de l’autre imposant, ainsi, flexibilité et ouverture d’esprit, l’institution éducative est lourdement interpellée. Dans cette perspective d’inscription de l’école dans la diversité culturelle et l’ouverture, antidotes du repli et de l’enfermement sur soi, le cours du français langue étrangère (FLE) offre un terrain privilégié pour prendre en charge une problématique majeure que nous nous proposons d’examiner dans l’ensemble de ses dimensions, en nous efforçant d’en identifier les tenants et les aboutissants.
