Efecto del aceite de copaiba (Copaifera Officinalis) en la cicatrización de heridas cutáneas provocadas en ratones de laboratorio

Abstract

Objetivo. Determinar la efectividad del Copaifera officinalis en la cicatrización de heridas cutáneas provocadas en ratones de laboratorio. Métodos. Se diseñó un estudio experimental, con 60 ratones de laboratorio de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia de la Universidad Nacional Hermilio Valdizán de Huánuco, durante el período de noviembre 2014 a marzo del 2015. Se dividió a los animales en 3 grupos de 20 ratones cada uno, dos controles y un experimental. Los datos se obtuvieron mediante una guía de observación. Se utilizaron las Pruebas de t Student, ANOVA y Tukey. Resultados. La media del tiempo de cicatrización de las heridas cutáneas de los ratones de laboratorio, del grupo experimental fue de 13,3 días; del grupo control 1 de 16,2 días y del grupo control 2 de 15,8 días con tratamiento de cada 12 horas. Asimismo, se encontró diferencias significativas entre grupo experimental y el grupo control 1 (P≤0,000) y grupo control 2 (P≤0,000) con tratamiento de cada 12 horas en el tiempo de cicatrización de las heridas. Conclusiones. Los resultados sugieren que el aceite de copaiba extraído en el laboratorio es eficiente y seguro debido a que se redujo el tiempo de cicatrización de la herida sobre todo con tratamiento de cada 12 horas.
