Análisis no destructivo de aleaciones por fluorescencia de rayos X

Abstract

Se ha implementado un procedimiento de análisis multielemental de aleaciones utilizando un método no destructivo. El método se basa en el bombardeo directo de la muestra con un haz de rayos gamma proveniente de una fuente de Am-241 y mediante la evaluación del espectro de fluorescencia de rayos-x obtenido, se identifica y cuantifica los elementos presentes. Para la evaluación de los espectros se utilizó el software Quantitative X-Ray Analysis System (QXAS) Versión 3.5 y el método de sensibilidad elemental, proporcionado por el OIEA. El método es aplicable a aleaciones de Au, Ag, Cu, Ni, Zn, Pd, etc. en concentraciones del orden de % con un error de ± 5%. Puede ser utilizado como una herramienta de control de calidad en joyas.
