El Reiki com a teràpia complementària ha esdevingut un tema novedós durant els últims anys ja que ha augmentat l’ús d’aquesta teràpia energètica per part de la societat arribant fins i tot al sistema sanitari. Aquesta revisió bibliogràfica pretén donar resposta a algunes preguntes que els professionals sanitaris es puguin realitzar quan se’ls planteja practicar o ser sotmesos a la teràpia de Reiki. En l’actualitat sembla haver evidència de que el Reiki pot tenir efectes beneficiosos en múltiples àrees de la salut i en les quals la infermera pot tenir un especial protagonisme, ja que és la que està a peu de llit amb el malalt. La disminució del dolor, de l’ansietat, les nàusees, l’estrès o el percentatge de fracàs en la retirada de la ventilació mecànica són alguns dels efectes beneficiosos que la teràpia de Reiki pot aportar al pacient, que a més pot resultar una eina per ajudar a la infermera a cuidar del pacient d’una manera holística.
Reiki as a complementary therapy has become a new issue in last years and it has increased the use of this energy therapy by society even reaching the health system . The aim of this literature review is to answer some questions that health professionals can perform when they practice Reiki therapy. Currently, it seems to exist an evidence that Reiki can have beneficial effects in many areas of health where the nurse can develop a special role because is the one who stay bedside the patient. Pain, anxiety, nausea , stress or the decrease of percentage of failure in the weaning of mechanical ventilation are some of the beneficial effects of Reiki therapy can bring to patients , Also it can be a tool to help the nurse to take care of the patient in a holistic form .
