La lactancia materna ofrece una amplia gama de beneficios tanto al recién nacido como a la madre, y aún más cuando se alarga de forma exclusiva hasta los seis meses. Tras analizar la zona de estudio se ha detectado que el porcentaje de lactancia materna a los seis meses es muy bajo (21,8%). Debido a este bajo porcentaje y adaptándose a las necesidades y al perfil de la población se ha elaborado un programa de salud. Su objetivo principal es que el índice de lactancia materna exclusiva a los seis meses aumente hasta un 50%. Para cumplir este objetivo, el programa consta de un total de 8 actividades explicativas, prácticas y dinámicas, en las cuales se trabaja con la promoción de la lactancia materna con madres embarazadas y con la formación de las madres que acaban de dar a luz hasta los seis meses de vida del bebé. Además en las actividades se cuenta con una herramienta de promoción y formación de la lactancia materna para las madres a través de internet. El programa de salud no se llevara a cabo, con lo cual no se pueden presentar los resultados del mismo.
