Abstract

Tras esta breve descripción de la relevancia tecnológica del Cloud Computing, en este proyecto nos centraremos en ofrecer un sistema para que los usuarios puedan almacenar y compartir sus archivos en la nube. El sistema se desarrollará en formato Web App o aplicación web; este concepto se podría definir como una página web optimizada para una perfecta visualización sobre dispositivos móviles, es decir, que cuando se abra desde el PC será detectada como una página web normal y cuando se abra desde un terminal móvil será detectada como una aplicación. Nebula, consistirá en una herramienta de almacenamiento remoto multi-usuario, es decir, un sistema que te permite gestionar tus archivos desde la nube. Con Nebula podrás mantener tus documentos importantes centralizados, ya que te permitirá guardarlos, eliminarlos, descargarlos, organizarlos en carpetas o incluso compartirlos en las redes sociales o correo electrónico. Dados los recursos para el proyecto, el objetivo no será ofrecer unas prestaciones competitivas, sino crear un servicio eficaz y centrado en el usuario. Los datos de los clientes se almacenarán en el propio servidor de hosting contratado, el cual ofrece “gratuitamente” 2GB de espacio de almacenamiento. No obstante, Nebula es muy escalable, así que se podrían desarrollar mejoras como la creación de un servidor local. Para dicha mejora se debería configurar un disco duro específico que permita la conexión de usuarios para almacenar sus archivos. Esta posibilidad es valorada como una futura expansión del servicio. Fundamentalmente, las tecnologías utilizadas serán los lenguajes HTML5 y CSS3 para la parte gráfica de la Web App, y JavaScript, PHP y SQL para desarrollar la mayor parte de las funcionalidades o integración de API’s.
