With the purpose of determining the effectiveness of the methylPrednisolone and hydrocohisone in patients with acute asthma, a clinic trial was made in the Pediatric Emergency Service of the HNERM IPSS, between July the 1st. and September the lst, 1993, for which a sample of 50 Patients was undertaken. The type of sampling study was double blind simple aleatory, from which 25 patients were given methylprednisolone and 25 Patients, hydrocortisone respectively. The mean age of the Patients was 8 years old and most of them were male. The Patients that were given methylprednisolone had a lesser nebulization mean (Mod: 3.7; Estdo: 8.0) than the Patients with hydrocortisone (moderate: 3; Grave: 5.5; Status: 11.2), The Patients with methylprednisolone were given a lesser number of mean doses of corticotherapy (Moderate: 1; Grave: 2.0; Status: 5.0) in comparison with the ones that received hydrocortisone (Moderate: 1.6; Grave: 3.0; Status: 6.3), p
