En el presente artículo se presentan las ideas centrales propuestas por Deninson sobre Cultura Organizacional y su aplicación en el Mejoramiento de la Calidad de los Servicios de Salud. Existen cuatro variables que permiten el desarrollo de una cultura Organizacional que lleve a la excelencia y que están íntimamente relacionadas con instrumentos gerenciales. Estas variables son la Participación, la Consistencia, la Adaptabilidad y la Misión. Si un Gerente de Servicios de Salud las pierde en la rutina, tenga la seguridad que su organización estará lejos del éxito y sobre todo de sus clientes internos y externos.
This article shows the main ideas proposed by Deninson about Organizational Culture and its application on Improvement of the Quality in Health Service. There are four variables which enable the development of an Organizational culture leading to excellence and that are closely related to management instruments. These variables are Participation, consistency, Adaptability and Mission. If a Health Service Manager loses them in routine, it is sure that his organization Will be far from success and above all away from his internal and external customer.
