Abstract

La Comisión Multisectorial del ENFEN sostiene que se espera que las condiciones de El Niño costero continúen desarrollándose, por lo menos hasta julio del presente año y con una mayor probabilidad de magnitud débil. Los valores de la temperatura superficial del mar en la región Niño 1+2, que incluye la zona norte y centro del mar peruano, continuarán por encima de lo normal. Se prevén precipitaciones superiores a lo normal, principalmente en abril, en la costa norte y centro, así como en la sierra norte y centro occidental del país. Se prevé que la anchoveta continúe replegada en la zona costera. Se espera mayor disponibilidad de especies ecuatoriales, transzonales y oceánicas. En abril, se espera que, en los ríos de la costa norte y centro del país, continúen las crecidas que podrían ocasionar erosión de sus cauces e inundaciones, principalmente en los ríos de las cuencas de Tumbes, Chira, Piura y Lambayeque. Se recomienda a los tomadores de decisiones, tener en cuenta las fuentes oficiales para los posibles escenarios, de acuerdo con el pronóstico estacional vigente para fines de prevención y reducción del riesgo de desastres.
