Abstract

La Comisión Multisectorial ENFEN mantiene el sistema de Alerta “No Activo”, debido a que se observan, en promedio, condiciones neutras en la temperatura superficial del mar frente a la costa peruana y se considera más probable que persistan en lo que resta del otoño e inicios de invierno. De continuar las condiciones actuales de El Niño débil en el Pacífico central hasta el invierno, el ENFEN no descarta el desarrollo de episodios cálidos en la costa peruana para más adelante, aunque no se espera que estos generen precipitaciones por su estacionalidad.

La Comisión Multisectorial encargada del Estudio Nacional del Fenómeno El Niño (ENFEN), conformada por representantes de IMARPE, DHN, IGP, SENAMHI, ANA, INDECI y CENEPRED, es el ente que genera la información oficial de monitoreo y pronóstico del Fenómeno El Niño y otros asociados.
