Plan de mejoramiento genético de camu camu

Abstract

Plantea la colección, caracterización, pruebas y estudios genéticos, selección recurrente y clonación de plantas superiores de camu camu. Como base genética se cuenta con una amplia diversidad colectada por entidades de investigación con 197 introducciones representantes de 11 cuencas del departamento de Loreto. A través del presente plan se busca mantener y ampliar la base genética colectada y la aplicación de descriptores evaluativos de rasgos prioritarios, como el de precocidad-productividad, contenido de vitamina C, tipo de planta, rusticidad y reacción al ataque de enfermedades e insectos, entre otros.
