Nane türlerinin, sitophilus granarius L. ve sitophilus oryzae L.’nin insektiidal etkileri

Abstract

10 ? C'deki LD50 değeri 0,15 µl/böcek olarak bulunmuştur.

In this study, fumigant and contact toxicities of Mentha piperita L. and Mentha spicata L. essential oils were evaluated on two important stored product insects, Sitophilus granarius L and Sitophilus oryzae L. under laboratory conditions at different temperatures. In single dose fumigant activity study, essential oils extracted from M. spicata, showed the highest toxicity and caused 98,9 % granary wevil mortality at 30 °C. Mortality rate dropped to 1,7 % when the temperature was decreased to 15 ? C. M. spicata and M. piperita caused 99,7 % and 83,9 % S. oryzae mortality at 30 °C. LC50 values for S. granarius and S. oryzae were 4,59 and 2,01 µl/ml at 30 °C respectively. In single dose contact toxicity study, M. spicata essential oil showed the high contact toxicity and caused 84- 97 % S. granarius mortality. M. piperita essential oil caused more than 60 % mortality at all tested temperatures. Howewer, mortalities observed on S. oryzae were around 30 %. In contact effect dose-mortality study, the LD50 value for M. spicata was 0.12 µl/insect at 20 oC and was 0,15 µl/insect at 10 oC.
