Trastornos alimentarios y familia

Abstract

El presente trabajo, está enfocado en reportar los últimos hallazgos sobre los trastornos alimentarios y familia, este tema es importante ya que se observa un aumento en la prevalencia de los casos que presentan este trastorno, sobre todo en América Latina, así mismo, de la importancia de la dinámica familiar como factor de riesgo para presentar algún trastorno de conducta alimentaria. De igual forma, se identificarán los principales modelos de evaluación, intervención y prevención del tema, se destaca que la terapia cognitivo conductual y la terapia familiar son las que presentan mejor pronóstico a corto plazo en el tratamiento de este trastorno. Por otro lado, se hará una revisión sobre las investigaciones realizadas a nivel internacional y nacional en los últimos cinco años, las cuales en su mayoría estudian las variables en población adolescente, en estas investigaciones se corrobora que el funcionamiento familiar y el estilo parental son un factor predisponente para desarrollar TCA sobre todo en el caso la dinámica disfuncional y el estilo de crianza autoritario o permisivo. Finalmente, se realizarán conclusiones y recomendaciones desde una perspectiva psicológica y multidisciplinaria, resaltando la necesidad de integrar los datos estadísticos y realizar más programas de prevención del tema.
