Nivel de conocimiento de análisis e interpretación de gases arteriales en alumnos de la facultad de medicina de una universidad privada en Lima durante febrero del 2019

Abstract

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento de análisis e interpretación de gases arteriales en alumnos de la facultad de medicina de una universidad privada en Lima durante febrero del 2019. Metodología: se realizó un estudio descriptivo, de corte transversal, a alumnos de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia del quinto, sexto y séptimo año, a los cuáles se les aplicó un cuestionario validado sobre interpretación de gases arteriales. Resultados: participaron 272 alumnos, 52.94% fueron hombres y 47.06% fueron mujeres. La media de preguntas contestadas correctamente fue de 20 (47.52% del total del cuestionario). No se encontró diferencia en el nivel de conocimiento de análisis e interpretación de gases arteriales en los tres años de estudio. Las principales metodologías de enseñanza utilizadas por los alumnos para su entrenamiento en la lectura de gases arteriales son las sesiones de Team Based Learning (TBL) y las prácticas clínicas.
